About 88 Forex Brokers

A research desk for traders across Asia-Pacific. We keep a record of 100 forex and CFD brokers and publish what we find.

What the site is for

Choosing a broker is a research job, and most of the research is checking claims. A broker says it is regulated; we look up the licence. It says spreads start at zero; we record the commission that comes with that. It says it has been in business since 2005; we record the entity and the company number. The site is the place those checks are written down, one record per broker, so that anyone can read them.

It is built for readers in Asia-Pacific first, where most of the brokers people can actually open an account with are licensed somewhere else. That makes the licence question the important one, and it is the first thing on every profile.

How a broker is scored

Each broker carries one overall score out of ten, averaged from six category scores out of a hundred: regulation, costs, platforms, markets, support and education. The figures come from the broker's own published material and from regulators' public registers, recorded with the date they were checked. The full method is on the scoring methodology page.

How it is paid for

Some brokers pay a commission when a reader opens an account through a link on this site, and brokers can pay for labelled placements. That is how the site is funded. The commercial disclosure page sets out what that does and does not affect.

When we get something wrong

Broker terms change constantly and we will not always have the latest. If a record is wrong, use the correction form and tell us the page, the field and what the right value is. Corrections are checked against the source and applied with a note in the record's change history.
