What we collect

Three kinds of information.

Usage

Analytics through Google Analytics, which sets cookies described on the cookie policy page, and server logs that Cloudflare keeps for security.

Accounts

If you create an account: your email address, a display name, your country if you give it, a hashed password, the brokers you follow, and what you post. We never see your password.

Forms

Anything you type into a contact, correction or business form is sent to our inbox and kept there.

What we use it for

To run the site, to publish what you choose to publish, to send you the emails you have asked for (a confirmation link, a password reset, a notice when a broker you follow has a new review or complaint, a reply to something you sent), and to keep the site safe. We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing email.

Who processes it

Cloudflare, which serves the site and stores account data in Australia-adjacent regions of its network. Resend, which delivers our email. Google, for analytics. Our form provider, for messages from the forms. Each of them processes the data only to provide that service.

Preferences stored in your browser

Your region, language, comparison list, recently viewed brokers and cookie choice are stored in your own browser and never sent to us.

How long we keep it

Account data for as long as the account exists, then thirty days. Published content stays published unless you withdraw it or we remove it under the community rules; a withdrawn review or complaint is archived and no longer shown. Form messages are kept for two years. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings, which we set to fourteen months.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to the address on the contact page and we will answer within thirty days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
